Is there any easy way to stop smoking?

December 29th, 2009 | by admin |

start by distancing yourself from cigarettes.

when you go to the store put your cigarettes in your trunk instead of your purse or pocket. you less likely to smoke in your car.

stop putting youself in social situations around smoke. i had to stop going to bars to quit myself.

also hang out with your nonsmoking fiends instead of your smoking friends.

most of all stop buying cigarettes

There is a really easy way. It’s so easy its not even funny. Very simple too. All you do is never let a cigarette touch your lips. It’s very easy.

Get a patch, called Nicorderm, prescription kind, not over the counter, it works!

Not really, you just need determination, will power and either the nicotine patches or gum; I am also quitting and found it hard at times, but when you have the urge to light up a cigarette, make yourself occupied and go for a long walk, anything to be away from the repetitiousness of daily tasks you normally do when smoking.

i don’t think anyway of quitting smoking is easy. If it were easy lots of people who have tried to quit would be successful. It’s hard. i guess you gotta have will power and a true desire to quit for your health. I quit and it was not so hard simply because I was expecting. That made it easy because my baby is more important. Think about how your health is more important than a drag or pack of ciggy’s, good luck to you.

maybe try the patch or gum.

There are lots of ways, none of them is easy.

You can use patches, like Nicorette, or pills like Zyban (bupropion)

But the bothersome parts is to handle the anxieties for a cigarette…

As Alcoholics Anonymous say, one day at a time. Choose things that you like and do any of them as a hobby when you crave for tobacco.

Well, there really is no easy way to stop. However, there are drugs, patches, and gums, to help ease the symptoms of withdrawal. You just have to go through it. That’s the bottom line. Just remember though, there are lots of us who have gone through it, and have stopped. So you can do it too. Just force yourself. Stop buying them, and make yourself not touch one again.

I don’t think it is ever easy. But there are some methods that are safer and more effective. Most people that try to quit are more successful when they have some kind of help. A support group, behavior modification program or a smoking cessation product . Just convince yourself you will stop smoking and you are half way there ! Good Luck !

Easy? No. But I do have some ideas that worked for me:

Don’t surround yourself with smokers. If all you smell is smoke that won’t help you quit.

Find something to keep your hands busy. For me, it was knitting. I learned how to knit and picked up everytime I wanted to smoke.

Find something to keep your mouth busy. Try hard candies.

Wash the smoke smell out of your clothes ASAP.

Hope things work out, I know how much it sucks.

The easy way is to not light them!
I know that is a smarty pants answer, but, really there is no easy way.
Just keep trying – I did not quit until I was hospitalized with asthma.
Please keep trying! You can succeed! The lung association has a website that lets people e-mail to a central location as a support system for those that are quitting. I know you can do it! I know you can succeed!
