I’m 17 and I smoke about 2 packs a day. Any tips on how I can quit?

Well – I shot my wife and she ain’t had one since …

Peace and hope you find the way … how can you afford 2 packs a day??? ;

Decrease slowly and also try to eat replace it with chewing gum.

And try to do a little bit exercise.

    Good luck!

There are no easy ways, but I started cutting back and being aware of how much I was smoking instead of just doing it unconsciously, telling myself I could wait a little longer and maybe smoke one less this hour.

first of all……you have to really want to quit…….if you just quit for whatever reason it is that you want to quit but you really didn’t want to, your going to end up smoking again…….so build up your will power…… then slowly stop….
instead of buying 2 packs, buy 1
then after a while, only carry a few cigarettes on you a day….
then give yourself a final due date to quit, and just do it.
this is coming from someone that use to be a smoker…..and has had friends who are smokers that quit.

The PATCH! It’s the best thing ever! It worked so well for my husband and I. Just follow the directions on the package. You’ll want to start at the highest level.

FIRST you want to set a "Quitting" day. This is the day you plan on quitting.

Throw away all your cigarettes, lighters, and ashtrays.
You will feel the urge to smoke, but it usually passes in 2–3 minutes. When you feel the urge, do something else. Take deep breaths and let them out slowly. Drink a glass of water.
Carry things to put in your mouth, like gum, hard candy or toothpicks.
Keep busy: Go to the movies, ride your bike, walk the dog, play video games, call a friend.
Go to places where you’re not allowed to smoke, like the movies or the mall.

The first few days after you quit, don’t hang around people and places where you used to smoke. If your family or friends smoke, ask them not to
    -smoke around you
    -offer you cigarettes
l-eave cigarettes where you can find them
    -tease you about not smoking
Turn your room into a "no smoking zone," especially if your family smokes.
Spend a lot of time in places where you’re not allowed to smoke.
Drink lots of water and fruit juice, but don’t drink anything with caffeine in it, like soda, coffee, or tea.
Stay away from your "triggers". Mine was coffee, I had to have a cig with my coffee. My husbands was beer, go figure!
Good luck! Hopefully you’re sick of
    Coughing all the time
    Smelling like an ashtray
    Spending your money on cigarettes
People hassling you about smoking &
    Hurting your health !
